Flying is already stressful enough with everything you have to deal with: airport traffic, security lines, lost luggage, and those dreaded flight delays. Here’s something you probably didn’t think you had to worry about: your skin! Flying can take a toll on your skin, drying it out and even potentially causing sunburns inside the airplane!
But never fear! In this article by Jamie Stone with ToneItUp, Dr. Jegasothy gave some great tips to cross at least one thing off your worry list. “Keep your skin clean, well-exfoliated, and properly hydrated.” Dr. Jegasothy says. She suggests using a light moisturizer a few hours before, during, and after the flight. This will ensure your skin stays hydrated. After the flight though, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly to remove any germs and bacteria, and then wash your face with a light, exfoliating wash to remove oil and dead skin buildup.
